Job Details

BSNL will recruit Telecom Technical Assistants (TTAs) through Special Recruitment Drive (SRD) for SCs, STs and OBCs and Persons with Disabilities (PWD) through an open Competitive Examination in the IDA pay scale of Rs. 13600-25420 (revised). BSNL comprises of 27 Recruitment Circles out of which backlog vacancies exist in 16 circles. These circles are in the process of filling up of backlog vacancies reserved for SCs, STs OBCs and PWD.

Telecom Technical Assistants (TTAs) : 738 Posts in various circles

Age : 18 to 27 years. Relaxation For Scheduled Castes & Scheduled Tribes up to 5 years, For OBC Candidates up to 3 years, For PWD candidates up to 10 years for OC candidates, 15 years for SC/ST and 13 years for OBC.

Educational Qualifications:
The Applicant must possess, as on the closing date of receipt of applications from candidates, the educational qualifications in any of the following disciplines from a recognized Institute/University:
a) Three Years Engineering Diploma in Telecommunications Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Radio Engineering, Computer Engineering, Instruments Technology, Information Technology.
b) M.Sc. (Electronics) from a recognized institution/University.

Syllabus & Question Paper :
a) There shall be only one Paper of multiple choice objective type of three hours duration as per syllabus with the following details :
Part Marks
Part - I General Ability Test 20
Part - II Basic Engineering 90
Part - III Specialization 90

b) Total number of Questions in the paper would be 200 and each question shall carry one mark.
c) The standard of paper in General Ability test will be such as may be expected of an Engineering Diploma holder. The standard of papers in other subject will approximately be that of Diploma level of an Indian Polytechnic. In the Specialization Part-III, a candidate has to attempt a common set of questions from the consolidated syllabus prescribed under Specialization Part-III.

Choice of Examination Centre :
The examination centre will be the Circle Headquarters city of the CGM concerned. Examination Centres may be changed if required at the sole discretion of BSNL.

Application Fee : Rs.500/- in the form of DD only favouring "The Accounts Officer (Cash), BSNL, Office of the CGMT .......... (name of circle). No fee for SC/ST/PH candidates.
How to apply

Application in the prescribed format in an envelope containing application form be marked “Application for the post for TTA(SRD-2010) in BSNL” in bold letters on the top of the envelope and should reach to the concerned Telecom Circle where candidate wants to apply on or before 30/09/2010 (29/09/2010 in some circles).
