Indian Air Force Permanent/ Short Service Commissioned Officers in Technical Branches August 2010

Applications are invited from Male and Female Indian Citizens for grant of Permanent/ Short Service Commission in Technical Branches of the Indian Air Force for the following courses:
  • NO. 79 Aeronautical Engineers (AEC) (Permanent Commission for Men)
  • No. 51 Short Service Commission Course (SSC) For Men and Women Training Commencing in Jul 2011
    • Age: 18-28 years as on 01 Jul 2011 i.e. born between 02 Jul 1983 to 01 Jul 1993 (both dates inclusive)
    • Qualification (Aeronautical Engineer (Electronics) (AE (L)): Candidates applying for AE (L) branch would be eligible if they have undergone a minimum of four year degree qualification and secured a minimum of 60% marks in all papers put together from a recognized university or cleared section A and B examination of Associate Membership of Institution of Engineer (India) OR Aeronautical Society of Indian OR Graduate membership examination of the Institute of Electronics and Telecommunication Engineers by actual studies provided the candidate has studied at least eight subjects out of the list of eighteen subjects mentioned below:
      • Physics/ Engineering Physics
      • Mathematics/ Engineering Mathematics
      • Engineering Graphics/ Engineering Drawing
      • Electrical Engineering/ Electrical Technology
      • Control Engineering
      • Microprocessors
      • Digital Electronics/ Basic Electronics
      • Computer Networks
      • Information Technology
      • Network Theory Design
      • Telecommunication Systems
      • Electronic Circuit Design
      • Telecommunication Systems
      • Electronic Circuit Design
      • Radar Theory
      • Switching Theory
      • Instrumentation
      • Microwave Engineering
      • Antenna and Wave Propagation
      • Electronic Devices
    • Aeronautical Engineer (Mechanical) (AE (M)): Candidates applying for AE (M) branch would be eligible if they have undergone a minimum of four year degree qualification and secured a minimum of 60% marks in all papers put together from a recognized university or cleared section A and B Examination of Associate Membership of Institution of Engineers (India) or Aeronautical Society of Indian by actual studies with at least eight subjects out of the list of eighteen subjects mentioned below:

      • Engineering Drawing/ Graphics
      • Automotive Engineering/ Plant Engineering/ Industrial Engineering
